The woven textile is finished with our flax linen backing and closed by an invisible zipper with a gold pull. Our signature St. Frank plate is featured in the bottom right-hand corner of the pillow. The cushion is stuffed with an oversized down insert. The pillow dimensions are 26" W x 26" H.

Please note that as unique, handmade art, no two pillows are ever exactly the same and color varies across monitors. Our website photos are a close representation of this pillow, but may not be identical to the one you receive.

Nineteenth-century Central Asian artisans created hand-woven ikat silks, now an iconic textile print. Ikat weaving originates from Uzbekistan, where it is called abrband, or "tying of the clouds." In this technique, sections of yarn are dyed before the cloth is woven, creating beautiful patterns. Ikat was traditionally used to make robes, or alternatively used as wall hangings. Uzbek ikats have historically served as symbols of status, wealth, power, and prestige.
